Romania is a beautiful, and exciting country. It has a proud history, and great opportunities ahead of it. But, under the surface, there is a sad, and almost ignored tragedy - that of the children, many of whom, have never known 'home' or family love.

This website aims to raise awareness of the social problems which exist in Romania today, and the work of non-profit organisations that seek to provide shelter, care, education, and a new life.

Romania is poised to enter a new era. In 2007, it will become a member state of the European Union. Social change is moving-on fast. This site seeks to highlight the best of what is happening, and the areas wherea different viewpoint is perhaps needed ?.
